Assistant Nurse Manager Overview • The Assistant Nurse Manager supports clinical operations and provides leadership within a fast-paced healthcare environment. • Deliver high-quality nursing care and ensure compliance with interdisciplinary care plans. • Coordinate client services and medical care with external healthcare providers. • Provide education and support to clients and caregivers regarding health needs. • Administer medications, inoculations, and treatments as prescribed by physicians or nurse practitioners. • Maintain accurate documentation of all nursing activities and client interactions. • Participate in quality assurance programs and advocate for healthcare improvements. • Support efforts to address homelessness and HIV/AIDS crises. Assistant Nurse Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties • Provide direct nursing care using sound scientific principles and accepted standards. • Assess clients within specified timeframes and coordinate interdisciplinary care plans. • Ensure timely documentation of nursing evaluations and recommendations. • Coordinate medical appointments and follow-up visits for clients. • Conduct group sessions to educate clients and caregivers on health-related topics. • Administer STAT medications and inoculations as prescribed. • Participate in the development and evaluation of nursing standards. • Act as a liaison to clients' families and communicate healthcare information effectively. Assistant Nurse Manager Job Requirements • Registered Nurse licensed by the State of New York. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting. • Experience with HIV/AIDS, substance use, or mental illness is advantageous. • Proficiency in interdisciplinary care planning and coordination. • Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced healthcare environment. • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are preferred. • Strong clinical skills including injections, triaging, and assessments.
