Licensed Practical Nurse (Contract) Key Responsibilities & Duties • Provide direct nursing care to residents and patients, ensuring adherence to healthcare standards and protocols. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate documentation of all procedures. • Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the Registered Nurse/Clinical Care Manager promptly. • Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans for residents and patients. • Perform charge nurse duties as assigned, supervising and supporting nursing staff during shifts. • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies. • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to maintain professional development. • Provide compassionate and respectful care to the geriatric population, addressing their unique needs. • Commit to working every other weekend as part of the rotating schedule. Licensed Practical Nurse (Contract) Job Requirements • Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required. • Completion of an approved program in practical nursing is mandatory. • Certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and IV administration are essential. • Previous experience working with a geriatric population is preferred. • High School Diploma or GED is the minimum educational requirement. • Commitment to working every other weekend is required for this role. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and staff effectively. • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
