Estimator Key Responsibilities & Duties • Prepare detailed cost estimates for light industrial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements. • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements. • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates. • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure project success. • Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and functionality. • Support the preconstruction team in preparing proposals and presentations for clients. • Monitor market trends and industry developments to ensure competitive and innovative estimating practices. • Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to construction phases. Estimator Job Requirements • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, with a preference for 7 years. • Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong understanding of light industrial construction methodologies, including tilt-wall and ground-up projects. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to develop accurate and competitive estimates. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders. • Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations as needed. • Commitment to professional growth and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
