Director of Fund Accounting Key Responsibilities & Duties • Oversee fund accounting processes, including financial statements, waterfalls, and LP reporting. • Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, audit, and industry standards. • Manage year-end audit and tax processes with precision and accuracy. • Develop and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance service delivery. • Mentor and lead a team of fund accountants, fostering professional growth and success. • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and trust. • Collaborate with product development teams to identify and adapt operational efficiencies. • Ensure data security and operational reliability through robust internal systems. • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with organizational values. Director of Fund Accounting Job Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred. • 8-12+ years of fund accounting experience in venture capital, growth equity, or private equity. • Proven leadership in fund administration services with team management experience. • Deep knowledge of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and fund management best practices. • Experience with SOC controls and advanced fund structures. • Proficiency in preparing fund financial statements and LP reporting. • Interest in leveraging AI/ML for operational excellence and problem-solving. • Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment. • Commitment to fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
