Hospital Laboratory Director Job Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field required. • ASCP certification (MLS or equivalent) preferred. • Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory supervisory experience required. • 2 years of directorship experience in a high-volume core laboratory preferred. • Experience with laboratory automation systems, middleware, and LIS platforms preferred. • Knowledge of laboratory financial management and operational metrics preferred. • Lean Six Sigma or quality management training preferred. • Master’s degree in healthcare administration or laboratory management preferred. • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage laboratory operations effectively.
