Overview • Lead accounting and financial reporting for private equity funds, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee fund operations and maintain accurate financial records. • Prepare and review detailed quarterly and annual financial statements for investor reporting and compliance. • Coordinate audits, liaising effectively with external auditors to ensure timely completion. • Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements. • Develop and implement tailored accounting policies and procedures for fund-specific requirements. • Provide insights on fund performance and contribute to investment evaluations and strategies. • Optimize accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Key Responsibilities & Duties • Manage fund accounting operations, including reconciliations, allocations, and distributions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Prepare financial reports and statements aligned with regulatory standards and investor requirements. • Collaborate with investment teams to provide accurate financial data for strategic decision-making. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings for funds effectively. • Monitor cash flows and manage liquidity to meet fund obligations and operational needs. • Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries promptly. • Implement and maintain advanced accounting systems to streamline operations and reporting. • Mentor and train junior staff on fund accounting practices and procedures, fostering professional growth. Job Requirements • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. • 3-6 years of experience in fund accounting, private equity, or credit environments. • CPA certification is preferred, with a strong understanding of public/private accounting principles. • Proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools is essential. • Experience working independently without an administrator is advantageous. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial data analysis. • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
