Surgery Center Nurse Director Key Responsibilities & Duties • Develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and guidelines aligned with industry standards. • Recruit, hire, and onboard nursing team members, including RNs and surgical technologists. • Manage nursing operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. • Oversee patient care, safety, and satisfaction throughout the surgical continuum. • Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff to optimize surgical workflows. • Ensure compliance with CMS, state licensing, and accreditation standards. • Lead quality assurance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives. • Facilitate orientation and ongoing clinical education for perioperative staff. • Act as a liaison between nursing, administration, and medical staff. Surgery Center Nurse Director Job Requirements • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing or related field required. • RN licensure in Arizona or eligibility to obtain licensure. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager. • Experience in orthopedic operating room nursing preferred. • Strong knowledge of ASC regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements. • Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities. • Proficiency with electronic health records and surgical scheduling systems. • Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred. • Local residency in the Phoenix metropolitan area is advantageous.
