Job Title Registered Nurse – PICU Location Lubbock, TX | Children's Hospital / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Weekends Required | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 • Float between units as needed, including Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU • Complete self-scheduling for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; shifts may be consecutive or split • Participate in weekend rotations on a variable basis • Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including background and licensing requirements Required Qualifications • Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission • Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience required • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible • Must submit all time-off requests and scheduling preferences upfront at the time of submission • 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience working in a children's hospital or pediatric trauma center environment • Familiarity with floating between pediatric specialty units such as NICU or Pediatric Med/Surg • Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling in a high-acuity pediatric setting Why Join Us • Work at a 181-bed children's hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center offering a dynamic and rewarding clinical environment • Enjoy free parking on-site with no on-call requirements during your assignment
