Job Title • Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical / Ortho Location • Alamogordo, NM Schedule / Job Type • Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, travel assignment Key Responsibilities • Provide independent, routine, and complex nursing care in a hospital setting with focus on orthopedic patients. • Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans utilizing the nursing process. • Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness. • Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately. • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and health management. • Delegate tasks as appropriate to care team members to ensure quality patient care. Required Qualifications • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred). • Valid RN License in New Mexico or a compact license. • BLS certification (American Heart Association required). • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical or Orthopedic nursing. Preferred Experience / Skills • Recent orthopedic or surgical nursing experience preferred. • Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills.
