Job Title Registered Nurse – Telemetry Location Glenview, IL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 8-Week Assignment | Days, 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every-Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a telemetry/medical-surgical unit, including monitoring and managing boarded patients housed in the ED setting • Perform and interpret EKG monitoring as a core component of patient assessment; passing an EKG competency test is required prior to placement • Float to other medical-surgical units as patient census and staffing needs require • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, high-quality patient care • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes within the electronic health record Required Qualifications • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Passing EKG competency test required at time of submission • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting • New graduates are not eligible for this position • Submission requirements include: resume, 2 professional references, skills checklist, copies of certifications, license verification, BLS, and passing EKG test results Preferred Experience / Skills • 4 or more years of RN experience in telemetry or medical-surgical care • Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system • Prior experience managing or floating between multiple inpatient units Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment with exposure to both telemetry and medical-surgical patient populations • Biweekly payroll with a defined 8-week contract offering scheduling consistency
