Job Title Registered Nurse – Telemetry Location Evanston, IL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 10–14 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed Key Responsibilities • Provide direct inpatient nursing care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients in an ICU setting • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition • Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols as required • Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed — first to float per unit policy • Participate in orientation as scheduled, including required non-billable orientation hours • Adhere to holiday coverage requirements on an as-needed basis Required Qualifications • Active Illinois (IL) Registered Nurse license • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required • NIHSS certification required • Must pass a facility EKG competency test • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Neurology nursing experience • New graduates are not eligible for this position Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience caring for inpatient Med/Surg and Telemetry patient populations • Familiarity with ICU-adjacent care environments and acuity levels • Experience floating across multiple units within a hospital system Why Join Us • Opportunity to work within a well-established acute care environment with a diverse Med/Surg and Telemetry patient population • Consistent 12-hour night shift schedule with expected weekend rotation providing predictable planning for work-life balance
