Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Maryville, TN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, including patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-heart catheterization diagnoses • Manage and monitor telemetry and step-down patients transitioning from ICU (no ventilator or pressor support required) • Administer and monitor IV drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation • Float to other like units across campuses as needed based on census, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies • Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis (approximately every other weekend, subject to change based on unit need) • Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes Required Qualifications • Active Tennessee (TN) Registered Nurse license • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry or similar unit • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate for night shift positions in this specialty; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience caring for step-down or progressive care patients • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management • Prior travel nursing experience, particularly first-time travelers with strong relevant clinical backgrounds Why Join Us • Expected schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week with consistent orientation support provided every Monday • Pre-assignment compliance modules are billable (up to 16 hours), offering additional compensation opportunities at the start of your contract
