Job Title Contract RN – Postpartum / Mother Baby (Night Shift) Location Austin, TX | Postpartum / Mother Baby Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends | No Call Requirements Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to postpartum couplets on a high-volume, 97-bed postpartum unit within a Level IV maternal and Level III NICU facility • Maintain a 1:4 couplet patient ratio, with occasional variation based on acuity • Administer and monitor medications and treatments including magnesium and heparin drips, and insulin drips as indicated • Perform and interpret non-stress tests and support hyperemesis management • Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN electronic medical record systems • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment supporting approximately 1,000 births per month Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required • NRP Advanced Provider certification required (NRP Essentials certification is not accepted) • Minimum 1 year of postpartum or mother-baby nursing experience Preferred Experience / Skills • Previous Labor & Delivery or antepartum nursing experience • Familiarity with Meditech and/or CPN EMR platforms • Strong teamwork orientation and effective communication skills Why Join Us • Join one of the highest-volume birth centers in the nation, offering a dynamic and experienced clinical environment with significant professional exposure • Work within a supportive, team-oriented unit with no call requirements and a consistent night shift schedule
