Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Maryville, TN | Inpatient Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Coverage Key Responsibilities • Provide direct inpatient nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a high-acuity Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, including stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, post heart cath, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis diagnoses • Perform and support specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation • Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system • Maintain a strong focus on patient experience and evidence-based care standards with a staffing ratio of 1:6 on nights • Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census and demonstrated competencies • Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit • Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR • No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles from the contracted campus may be considered at a reduced rate for night shift positions in this specialty Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience caring for stroke/TIA patients in an inpatient setting • Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures • Experience with high-acuity medical-surgical patient populations including sepsis and respiratory failure Why Join Us • Travelers may be eligible for reimbursement for time spent completing required pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours) • Opportunity to work on a specialized inpatient unit with a strong emphasis on patient experience and quality care
