Job Title Travel RN – Mother Baby / Nursery (Night Shift) Location Salem, VA | Acute Care – Maternity Care Center Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Projected Start: October 12, 2026 | 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday/Saturday nights) Key Responsibilities • Provide couplet care (mother and newborn) with a patient ratio of 3 couplets per nurse • Assist with Labor and Delivery, including active labor management, Pitocin administration, and epidural monitoring at a 1:1 ratio • Support cesarean sections in circulator, first assist, or scrub roles as applicable • Perform OBED triage, inductions, and postpartum and newborn care • Collaborate with charge nurses, birth response staff, and midwives on the night shift team • Document patient care using Centricity Perinatal and Meditech EMR systems Required Qualifications • Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact eligibility) • Minimum 2 years of OB/Mother Baby experience • BLS certification required • ACLS certification required • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required • AWHONN certification required Preferred Experience / Skills • Cesarean section experience as circulator, first assist, or scrub technician • Familiarity with Corometrics fetal monitoring equipment • Experience with OBED triage and induction management • Energetic, self-directed personality well-suited to a fast-paced maternity environment Why Join Us • Scrubs are provided by the facility, with floating limited to within the unit only — no cross-facility floating required • No on-call requirement for travel staff, with the potential for additional shift opportunities
