Job Title Travel RN – PCU / Progressive Care Unit (Night Shift) Location Englewood, CO | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Multi-Trauma PCU unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio • Manage and monitor complex trauma patients, including those requiring chest tubes, tracheostomies, and suctioning • Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, and suction devices • Perform and assist with bedside procedures including chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy • Document accurately using the Meditech / CPN electronic medical records system • Collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and physicians in a fast-paced, high-acuity team environment Required Qualifications • Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience (2 years preferred) • Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado • BLS certification required • ACLS certification required • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience with Meditech EMR system • Experience managing chest tubes, tracheostomy patients, and high-acuity trauma populations • Team-oriented mindset with comfort working in a highly acute, fast-paced environment Why Join Us • Work at a Level 1 Trauma Center alongside motivated, supportive nursing staff and engaged physicians on a unit known for complex and clinically interesting cases • Join a collaborative unit with strong charge nurse leadership and reliable tech support on both day and night shifts
