Job Title • Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Location • Alexandria, LA Schedule / Job Type • Full-time, Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 13-week assignment, potential temp-to-perm Key Responsibilities • Provide routine and complex nursing care to post-surgical patients, including orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations • Utilize nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients • Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately • Collaborate with care team members, make appropriate assignments, and delegate tasks as needed • Educate patients and families regarding their conditions and care plans Required Qualifications • BLS certification from AHA • Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar clinical setting preferred Preferred Experience / Skills • EPIC electronic health record system experience is a plus • Experience caring for neuro or post-surgical patient populations Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a reputable facility with a collaborative team environment • Potential for extension or permanent placement based on performance and staffing needs
