Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical (Adult) – Night Shift Location St. Johnsbury, VT Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care for adult patients in a general Med/Surg unit, with occasional pediatric patients • Provide medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care as needed • Utilize the Nursing Process to assess patient needs and make critical clinical decisions • Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor to meet the needs of a diverse patient population • Ensure holistic care addressing patients' physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs • Maintain accountability to the Unit Director and contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment Required Qualifications • Current Vermont RN license or multi-state RN licensure • Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience • BLS certification (American Heart Association) • ACLS certification • Influenza vaccination (required, no exceptions) • All required credentials must be submitted at least five business days prior to start date Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with Meditech electronic health records system • Comfort and competency with a mixed adult and occasional pediatric patient population Why Join Us • Work in a close-knit, independent critical access hospital setting in Vermont's scenic Northeast Kingdom, offering a fulfilling work-life balance surrounded by year-round outdoor recreation • Be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team delivering a broad range of primary, surgical, specialty, and emergency healthcare services to the local community
