Job Title Travel – Physical Therapist (Rehab Unit) Location Gainesville, Florida Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: July 6, 2026 Key Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans within an inpatient rehabilitation setting • Perform therapeutic interventions including gait training, therapeutic exercise (TherEx), functional training, and ADL training • Facilitate safe patient transfers and mobility activities using standard inpatient rehab gym equipment including balance and gait systems • Provide family and patient education to support recovery goals and discharge planning • Accurately document patient care and progress using the Meditech (Expanse) electronic documentation system • Participate in weekend rotation call schedule as required by the unit Required Qualifications • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license valid in the state of Florida • Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience • Current BLS certification • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting is accepted and welcomed • Ability to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation environment Preferred Experience / Skills • Previous travel therapy experience preferred • Experience with new hospital or unit start-up environments • Familiarity with Meditech (Expanse) documentation platform Why Join Us • Join a newly launched inpatient rehabilitation unit and play a meaningful role in shaping its culture and patient care standards from the ground up • Work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of PT, OT, SLP, and support staff in a structured day-shift-only environment
