Job Title Registered Nurse – PICU Location Charlottesville, VA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Rotating Shifts (Days and Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 7:00–19:00 / 19:00–7:00 | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting • Rotate between day and night shifts as scheduled, including weekend coverage (3 weekends per six-week schedule) • Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling • Float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs and within scope of practice • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR • Adhere to all facility policies, compliance requirements, and unit-specific protocols Required Qualifications • Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date) • BLS certification required • PALS certification required • Epic EMR experience required • Nursys verification required at time of submission • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus • BSN preferred • Previous PICU travel nursing experience Why Join Us • October start dates available with expected 36- or 48-hour workweeks, offering scheduling flexibility • Opportunity to work in a dynamic pediatric critical care environment with a clinically rigorous and supportive team
