Job Title Registered Nurse – Emergency Room Location Charlottesville, VA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, including patients across the age spectrum with some pediatric experience expected • Deliver care during night shift hours, adapting to variable scheduling based on staffing needs • Float within scope of practice to other units as needed • Maintain compliance with all required certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC throughout the duration of the assignment • Must be available to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays as part of scheduling requirements Required Qualifications • Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before the start date) • ACLS, BLS, and PALS required; TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must have prior to start) • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required • At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma Center experience, or at least 2 years of Level 2 Trauma Center experience, including some pediatric experience • Epic EMR experience required • Nursys verification required at time of submission • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • BSN preferred • Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency room setting • Experience with high-acuity and trauma patient populations Why Join Us • Multiple start date options available, offering flexibility in your transition to this assignment • Opportunity to work in a high-acuity emergency environment with a reputable healthcare system
