Job Title Registered Nurse – Telemetry Location Evanston, IL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 10–14 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed Key Responsibilities • Provide direct inpatient nursing care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients in an ICU setting • Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition • Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols • Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed — first to float per unit policy • Participate in orientation as scheduled, including required non-billable orientation hours Required Qualifications • Active Illinois RN License required • BLS Certification required • NIHSS Certification required • Must pass a facility EKG Test prior to assignment • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Neurology nursing experience required • New graduates are not eligible for this position Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience caring for inpatient Med/Surg and Telemetry patient populations in an acute care environment • Comfort with floating across multiple units within a Med/Surg and Telemetry service line Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment with a diverse Med/Surg and Telemetry patient population • Consistent night shift schedule with expected 12-hour shifts providing work-life balance planning
