Job Title Travel RN – Burn ICU Location Kansas City, MO | Burn ICU Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period Key Responsibilities • Provide ICU-level nursing care to adult burn patients in a 6-bed Burn ICU with acuity-based patient ratios • Perform and assist with unit procedures including debridement, dressing changes, line insertion, chest tube insertion and maintenance, and post-operative procedural care • Operate and monitor equipment including Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitoring, and AirStrip for cardiac rhythm assessment • Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and hemodynamic drip titration; support CRRT as needed • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech documentation system • Adhere to bedside shift report requirements and uphold patient experience standards including courtesy, respect, and patient-centered care Required Qualifications • Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of ICU-level experience • BLS certification required • ACLS certification required • TNCC certification required • Cardiac rhythm proficiency required • Willingness to float to like units (ICU/PCU/CCU) as needed; travel/agency staff are first to float when required Preferred Experience / Skills • Burn unit experience strongly preferred • NIH certification preferred • CRRT training preferred • ABLS certification preferred Why Join Us • Work within a strong multidisciplinary team including a dedicated burn surgeon, nurse practitioner, intensivist, rehab, dietary, pharmacist, and case management, supported by critical care intensivists available 24/7 • Join a travel-nurse-friendly, teamwork-oriented unit with a highly experienced core staff, a family-like atmosphere, and access to advanced resources including a hyperbaric chamber with a dedicated hyperbaric RN
