Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Maryville, TN | Inpatient Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Coverage Key Responsibilities • Provide direct inpatient nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on a high-acuity Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, including stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, post heart cath, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis diagnoses • Deliver patient care with a strong focus on patient experience and outcome quality • Perform and support specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation • Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system • Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year of experience required) • Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census and demonstrated competencies Required Qualifications • Active Tennessee RN License required • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience • Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible • Must reside more than 100 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible at full consideration; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate for night shift positions in this specialty; candidates under 50 miles are not eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience caring for stroke and TIA patient populations in an inpatient setting • Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures • Experience with Omnicell medication management systems Why Join Us • Work on a specialized inpatient unit with a strong commitment to patient experience and quality outcomes • Pre-assignment orientation modules may be reimbursable for eligible hours completed prior to contract start
