Job Title Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown Location Hilo, HI | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Rotating Shift | Expected 36 hours/week Key Responsibilities • Provide primary nursing care within a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including Step Down ICU and telemetry beds • Perform telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading • Conduct fingerstick blood sugar monitoring • Operate unit equipment including BIPAP, continuous cardiac monitoring, Meditech charting, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems • Float to other acute units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed Required Qualifications • Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment • Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year • Current BLS certification Preferred Experience / Skills • Progressive Care and telemetry nursing experience • ACLS certification • Current PALS certification • NIHSS certification Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-specialty acute care environment with exposure to a variety of patient populations and clinical settings • No on-call requirements, supporting a more predictable work-life balance
