Job Title Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Location Charleston, WV | Short Term Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with some weekend rotation | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide respiratory therapy services across Critical Care and General Care settings for adult and pediatric patient populations • Perform assessments and deliver treatments in a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital environment • Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including potential rotation to sister facilities as needed • Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records • Participate in weekend rotation as required by the schedule Required Qualifications • Active RRT or CRT credential required; West Virginia state license or Compact license required (pending license accepted for submission) • Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience • Some pediatric and/or NICU experience required • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required • ACLS certification through AHA required • PALS and NALS required for pediatric cases, through AHA • Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center or major teaching hospital setting • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records charting system • Experience floating across multiple units or care settings Why Join Us • Work within a large, well-resourced acute care facility that is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH), offering exposure to a high-acuity and diverse patient population • Scrubs provided and parking available at no cost to travelers; expected hours of 72–80 per pay period with a block schedule that may be accommodated upon request
