Job Title • Registered Nurse - PCU/Stepdown (Travel) Location • Asheville, NC Schedule / Job Type • Travel, Night shifts, 12.5 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week Key Responsibilities • Provide patient care on the Progressive Care Unit, focusing on neuro, spinal, and trauma patients • Perform procedures such as neuro and spinal checks, chest tube management, PCA pump administration, IV infusions, and feeding tube placements • Monitor and document patient status using Cerner EMR system • Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver patient-centered care • Assist with patient transfers and emergency procedures as needed Required Qualifications • Active license as a Registered Nurse • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required • 2+ years of relevant clinical experience in neuro or trauma care Preferred Experience / Skills • Neuro and trauma care experience • Experience with procedures such as lumbar drain placement, TOSLO braces, and blood transfusions Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a well-regarded hospital’s specialized unit with a dedicated team • Enhance your skills in neuro and trauma patient care in a dynamic environment
