Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool (Nights) Location Tuscaloosa, Alabama Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as part of a float pool assignment • Float to various units and hospital locations as needed based on staffing requirements • Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, responding appropriately to changes in condition • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with facility policies and professional standards • Document patient care accurately using the facility's EMR system (Meditech) • Adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs) and all applicable compliance requirements Required Qualifications • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted) • NURSYS verification required • Current AHA BLS certification or Red Cross BLS certification • Minimum of 18 months of overall nursing experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry; 2 years preferred • Willingness to float to multiple units and hospital locations as required Preferred Experience / Skills • 2 or more years of experience specifically in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing • Prior experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment • Familiarity with Meditech EMR Why Join Us • Guaranteed 36 hours per week with the option for 48 hours, providing schedule stability throughout the 13-week contract • On-site parking available, making your commute to each shift convenient and hassle-free
