Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool Location Tuscaloosa, AL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays as required | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and Telemetry units during night shift hours • Float to other units and hospital locations as needed based on staffing requirements • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using the facility EMR (Meditech) • Adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs) and all applicable policies and procedures Required Qualifications • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid Compact license — no temporary licenses accepted; must be verifiable through NURSYS • AHA BLS certification or Red Cross BLS certification required • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry; candidates with at least 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license and a minimum of 1 year of recent specialty experience may be considered • Must be willing to float to other units and hospital locations as assigned Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment • Familiarity with Meditech EMR • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows Why Join Us • Gain diverse clinical experience across multiple units and settings within a well-established healthcare system • On-site parking is available for all staff
