Job Title Registered Nurse – Psychiatric (Geriatric Psych) Location Cleveland, OH | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care within a geriatric psychiatric unit in a short-term acute care hospital setting • Perform milieu management to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients • Administer and manage medications in accordance with facility protocols • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition • Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with facility standards Required Qualifications • Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted • Minimum 12 months of permanent behavioral health experience in a short-term acute care hospital (non-psychiatric facility required) • Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty • Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted • One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — required at time of submission • Locals are accepted Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience gained within a single location (preferred but not required) • Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition • Experience with medication administration competency assessments Why Join Us • Opportunity to work within a well-established health system in a specialized geriatric psychiatric setting • Contract extensions may be available for high-performing candidates, offering longer-term placement potential
