Job Title Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse – Psychiatric (Night Shift) Location Asheville, NC | Inpatient Psychiatric Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to patients in an inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health unit • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in alignment with behavioral health best practices • Monitor patient mental status, safety, and therapeutic response to treatment interventions • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards • Uphold a safe therapeutic environment by applying de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention protocols as needed Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be valid and in good standing; North Carolina licensure or compact eligibility required • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing • BLS certification required • Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques in an acute behavioral health environment • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems • Strong communication and therapeutic relationship-building skills with psychiatric patient populations Why Join Us • Opportunity to work at a nationally recognized, high-acuity facility that has been identified among the top hospitals in the nation for clinical quality • Join a team committed to nursing excellence within a facility that has earned prestigious Magnet® Designation
