Job Title Registered Nurse – Telemetry Location Evanston, IL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed Key Responsibilities • Provide direct inpatient nursing care for Medical/Surgical and Telemetry patients within an ICU setting • Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms using EKG assessment skills • Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS certification protocols • Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed, serving as first to float • Participate in orientation on a scheduled basis as required by the assignment Required Qualifications • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license • BLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Passing EKG test required prior to placement • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Neurology nursing experience • New graduates are not eligible for this position Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience caring for inpatient Medical/Surgical and Telemetry patient populations • Familiarity with ICU-adjacent workflows and acuity levels • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a float-capable environment across multiple units Why Join Us • Opportunity to work within a dynamic acute care environment supporting a diverse inpatient population across Med/Surg and Telemetry specialties • Contract engagement of 10–14 weeks with expected 12-hour night shifts providing scheduling consistency
