Job Title Travel LVN/LPN – Med Surg (Telemetry) Location Alexandria, LA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1 • Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitors, PCA pumps, BiPAPs, and epidurals • Perform wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and insertion of indwelling Foley catheters • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, RNs, and PCTs during night shift operations • Float to other units (6A, 3A, 3 South, 4 South) as needed based on census and staffing requirements • Adhere to unit dress code: ceil blue scrubs required; no sweatshirts, no Crocs Required Qualifications • Active LVN/LPN nursing license (must be current and in good standing) • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience • Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to work as a team player Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with telemetry monitoring in an acute care setting • Strong prioritization and time management skills in a fast-paced environment • Familiarity with trauma, orthopedic, or med-surg patient populations Why Join Us • Opportunity to work on a well-staffed, collaborative unit with a supportive team structure across day and night shifts • Gain valuable experience in a trauma/ortho/med-surg environment utilizing a wide range of clinical equipment and procedures
