Job Title Travel LVN/LPN – Med Surg / Telemetry Location Alexandria, LA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1 • Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo pumps, chest tubes, telemetry, PCA pumps, BiPAPs, and epidurals • Perform wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and insertion of indwelling Foley catheters • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, RNs, and PCTs to deliver safe, effective patient care • Float to assigned areas as needed (6A, 3A, 3 South, 4 South) • Adhere to dress code requirements: ceil blue scrubs; no sweatshirts or crocs Required Qualifications • Active LVN/LPN nursing license • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to function as a team player Preferred Experience / Skills • Demonstrated prioritization and time management skills in a fast-paced clinical environment • Experience with telemetry monitoring • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented unit culture Why Join Us • Opportunity to work on a well-staffed, dynamic Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg unit with a structured team model across day shifts • Gain valuable travel nursing experience in a full-service acute care setting with a projected start date of October 2026
