Job Title Travel LVN/LPN – Med Surg / Telemetry Location Alexandria, LA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected start October 2026 Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg unit with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio • Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitors, PCA pumps, BiPAPs, and epidurals • Perform wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and insertion of indwelling Foley catheters • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, RNs, and PCTs on night shift • Float to other units as needed (6A, 3A, 3 South, 4 South) • Work every other weekend shift; expected to be on call when census is low Required Qualifications • Active LVN/LPN nursing license in good standing • ACLS certification required • BLS certification required • Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to function as a team player Preferred Experience / Skills • Demonstrated prioritization skills in a fast-paced clinical environment • Strong time management skills with ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio efficiently • Prior experience with telemetry monitoring Why Join Us • Work alongside a well-staffed, collaborative team on a 36-bed unit with consistent support from charge nurses and patient care technicians • Gain experience in a trauma/ortho/med-surg environment utilizing a broad range of clinical equipment and procedures
