Job Title Registered Nurse – PCU / Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Lee's Summit, MO | Acute Care / Community Hospital Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a PCU/stepdown setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing conditions including cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, chest pain, sepsis, GI bleed, ETOH withdrawal, and pre/post cardiac cath patients • Perform cardiac monitoring duties including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and participation in Rapid Response Teams • Manage IV therapy including central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, cardiac drips (no titration), and vasoactive drips (no titration) • Provide respiratory support including management of chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and interpretation of ABGs • Perform wound care, surgical drain management, isolation precautions, and feeding tube care • Fulfill charge RN assignments and holiday shifts as needed; regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission • Minimum 2 years of RN experience with community hospital experience required • BLS and NIHSS certifications required • Experience across applicable work settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry Oncology, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown • No pending licenses accepted; must hold active licensure at time of submission • Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • ACLS and CPI certifications preferred • Previous charge RN experience preferred • Skills in sheath removal, port access, phlebotomy, and total joint replacement care Why Join Us • Work in a 240-bed community hospital using EPIC charting with free on-site parking available • First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this opportunity
