Job Title Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool) Location Overland Park, KS | Intermediate Care / Progressive Care Unit Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a float pool capacity, rotating across approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments, including coverage at additional metro campuses as needed • Monitor and manage patients requiring cardiac telemetry, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Care for patients presenting with conditions such as sepsis, stroke, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, ETOH, SI, and COVID • Perform pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care and wound care as assigned • Participate in holiday shift coverage and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit rotation • Fulfill weekend requirements of 8 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission • Pending licensure is not accepted • BLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers are accepted • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, neuro stepdown, and Med/Surg intermediate care settings • Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • ACLS certification preferred • Experience with sheath removal following cardiac catheterization • Feeding tube care and management • IV therapy skills including port access, blood product administration, and central line care and management Why Join Us • Gain broad clinical exposure across multiple Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU units in a dynamic float pool environment • Work with advanced tools and technology including Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell, and Epic EMR
