Job Title Travel RN – MedSurg/Telemetry Location Alexandria, LA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected start October 2026 | Every other weekend or 2 full weekends per month Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit with a 6:1 patient ratio • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition • Perform and assist with unit procedures including heart catheterizations • Operate unit equipment including EKG machines, DynaMaps, bladder scanners, vein finders, and telemetry monitors • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system • Float to all MedSurg/Telemetry floors as needed Required Qualifications • Active RN license in good standing • Minimum 1 year of MedSurg/Telemetry experience • ACLS certification required prior to submission • Meditech EMR experience required • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Strong time management skills in a fast-paced inpatient environment • Demonstrated critical thinking skills in telemetry or MedSurg settings • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a collaborative and helpful approach Why Join Us • Join a well-staffed, structured unit with consistent shift expectations and a supportive team environment • Gain valuable travel nursing experience in a regional acute care setting with a variety of MedSurg and telemetry cases
