Job Title Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Location Naperville, IL | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 36 hours/week expected | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment managing complex conditions including respiratory failure, multi-system organ failure, DKA, sepsis, general and vascular surgery, and behavioral health patients • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for critically ill patients • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective care in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting • Float to other ICU and inpatient units within the facility as needed — first to float policy applies • Complete orientation requirements including an initial day-shift orientation followed by floor orientation on contracted shift Required Qualifications • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required • Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-acuity ICU • New graduates are not eligible for this position Preferred Experience / Skills • 5 or more years of ICU experience • Prior travel nursing experience Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity ICU at a Level 2 Trauma Center with a diverse and clinically challenging patient population • 12-week contract offering professional growth and exposure to a wide range of critical care specialties
