Job Title Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Freestanding Emergency Department, Night Shift) Location Corpus Christi, TX | Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend Required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a 24/7 freestanding emergency department with a 15-bed unit and a 1:4 patient ratio depending on acuity • Rapidly identify and respond to time-sensitive conditions including Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma • Perform procedures including splinting, wound care, IV starts, medication administration, and patient assessments and reassessments • Accurately document patient care and clinical findings using Meditech EMR • Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers • Provide oversight and collaboration with EMT-Paramedics on shift Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license • Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, CPI (or equivalent), and PALS or ENPC • Demonstrated compassion, sense of urgency, and ability to function as a team player • Proven skills in rapidly identifying Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma presentations Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with airway management and mechanical ventilators • Strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced emergency environment • Compassionate, non-abrasive interpersonal style well-suited for high-acuity patient interactions Why Join Us • Work in a well-staffed, 24/7 freestanding emergency department with a structured team model and no on-call requirements • Gain experience across a multi-site emergency network while maintaining a consistent home unit assignment
