Job Title Registered Nurse – Oncology (BMT) Location Saint Louis, MO | Short Term Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a BMT Oncology unit with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 30 across 32 beds • Administer chemotherapy and manage autologous stem cell transplant patients; Chemotherapy certification required for this role • Access and manage ports, central lines, implanted lines, and PICC lines, including central line blood draws • Administer blood and blood products, antibiotics, and antiemetics; insert and manage Foley catheters • Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation; must pass Relias EKG exam — Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required • Float within the Oncology service line as needed based on unit census each shift Required Qualifications • Active RN license — Missouri license or compact license accepted (compact must match permanent residence); Illinois license must be in hand at time of submittal • Minimum 1 year of Oncology nursing experience required • ONS/ONCC certification required • ACLS and BCLS required (ACLS must be obtained by compliance document deadline) • Chemotherapy certification required • Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with autologous stem cell transplants • Proficiency with EPIC charting system • Experience maintaining isolation precautions and managing IV therapy including starting and maintaining peripheral IVs Why Join Us • Opportunity to work at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching facility with a robust oncology and BMT program • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
