Job Title Registered Nurse – Emergency Room Location Paducah, KY | Emergency Department Schedule / Job Type Contract | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, developmental level, risk factors, and presenting complaint in accordance with RN scope of practice and department policies. • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including desired outcomes determined in coordination with the patient and family, and oversee delegation of tasks to team members. • Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process. • Facilitate patient admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including timely execution of discharge orders, discharge teaching, and coordination with Case Management. • Provide patient and family-centered education, addressing educational needs based on prioritized problems and level of comprehension. • Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing. Required Qualifications • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required. • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members. • Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures. • Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and applications. Preferred Experience / Skills • Previous nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
