Job Title Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Location Columbus, OH | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Onsite | Expected 40 hours/week | Shifts may occur anytime between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. based on staffing needs | Schedule consists of two (2) 8-hour shifts and two (2) 12-hour shifts per week | Weekend rotation distributed equitably among staff | Call duties included as part of the contract; call hours distributed equitably among staff and will vary with each schedule | First-time travelers welcome | Locals accepted Key Responsibilities • Scrub into cardiovascular and vascular surgical cases including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, and related procedures • Perform and maintain endovascular scrub duties (hard stop requirement) • Apply aseptic technique throughout all surgical procedures • Assist with crash cart readiness, scrub, and circulate functions as needed • Perform cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing • Accurately document equipment usage per departmental protocols using EPIC Required Qualifications • Active scrub experience required; RNs who scrub will also be considered • Minimum 5 years of total CST experience • Minimum 2 years of cardiac and vascular experience • Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility • BLS certification required • Locals are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with General OR procedures • Familiarity with endovascular procedures including EVAR and TEVAR • Proficiency with EPIC charting system • Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing Why Join Us • First-time travelers are welcome, making this an excellent opportunity to begin your travel career in a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical environment • Work within a dynamic, high-volume surgical services team with equitable scheduling practices for weekends and call duties
