Job Title Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room Location Charleston, SC | Acute Care – Level I Trauma Center Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday | No call required Key Responsibilities • Scrub surgical cases across a broad range of specialties within a 21-suite main operating room, including Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN • Maintain readiness to staff the full variety of cases supported by the Main OR as assigned • Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units or sister facilities as required • Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and charting • Wear a radiation badge at all times during applicable procedures (badge must be provided by placing agency) Required Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist • NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted) • BLS certification required • Level I trauma experience required • Must be able to staff the full range of surgical specialties supported by the Main OR • Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered as a non-local candidate; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis Preferred Experience / Skills • Neuro experience (spine and craniotomy cases) highly preferred • ENT experience including flap cases highly preferred • Robotics experience, specifically with the Da Vinci Xi system, highly preferred • First-time travelers are welcome to apply Why Join Us • Opportunity to work within a dynamic, Magnet-designated, academic Level I Trauma Center featuring 21 OR suites and cutting-edge surgical technology across all major specialties • Scrubs are provided on-site, and the facility offers a structured, nurse-driven OR environment with exposure to a wide and diverse surgical caseload
