Job Title Physical Therapist Location Hickory, NC | Outpatient Schedule / Job Type Contract | Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 5x8s | Expected 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday Key Responsibilities • Evaluate and treat outpatient orthopedic patients, managing approximately 10–11 patients per day and an expected 50 patients per week • Conduct 60-minute initial evaluations and deliver follow-up treatments in 30-minute scheduled slots with approximately 60 minutes of treatment time • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation using the NextGen system, supported by AI-assisted documentation technology • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including front desk staff, rehab aides, and additional clinicians providing OT, PT, and PTA services • Adhere to a structured weekly schedule across Monday through Friday, with shift times varying by day; one-hour lunches included Required Qualifications • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain • Ability to work a 5x8 schedule, Monday through Friday, within established clinic hours • Ability to manage a caseload of outpatient orthopedic patients with typical outpatient diagnoses Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior outpatient physical therapy experience preferred; no minimum years of experience required • New graduate Physical Therapists will be considered • Familiarity with NextGen or similar electronic documentation systems is a plus • Experience treating a mixed payer population including commercial, Medicare, and workers' compensation patients Why Join Us • Clinicians are supported by purpose-built AI documentation technology designed to help generate compliant clinical notes in real time, allowing more focus on patient care • This contract role offers a temp-to-hire pathway, providing an opportunity for long-term placement within an established, well-staffed outpatient clinic
