Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location Morgantown, WV | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Weekdays and Weekends (3 weekends per 4-week schedule) | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities • Manage a patient assignment with ratios of 1:5–7 in accordance with unit guidelines • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Cerner EMR • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes • Maintain consistent attendance and reliability throughout the duration of the contract; the facility expects no more than 2–3 call-offs per contract period Required Qualifications • Active WV RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission) • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required • BLS (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required • ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required • Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience working on a Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry • Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation • Experience managing higher patient ratios in a fast-paced acute care environment Why Join Us • 13-week contract with the possibility of extension for qualified candidates who demonstrate strong performance and attendance • Opportunity to work in a well-established Medical/Surgical unit with a structured orientation process to support your transition
