Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location Morgantown, WV | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:30 | Weekdays and Weekends (3 weekends per 4-week schedule) | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities • Manage a patient assignment with ratios of 1:5–7 in a fast-paced inpatient environment • Accurately document all patient care activities using Cerner EMR • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes • Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to unit scheduling expectations throughout the contract period Required Qualifications • Active RN License in West Virginia or a valid Compact RN License (pending license accepted at time of submission) • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required • BLS (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required • Proficiency with Cerner EMR • Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior experience on a Medical/Surgical or telemetry unit • Familiarity with Cerner documentation modules • Strong attendance record and demonstrated reliability in previous contract or permanent positions Why Join Us • 13-week contract with the possibility of extension, offering stability and the opportunity to grow within the unit • Immediate start available for qualified candidates ready to make an impact in a high-need Medical/Surgical setting
