Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location Morgantown, WV | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekdays with every other weekend | 13-week contract with possible extension Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an oncology patient population • Manage a patient assignment with ratios of 1:5–6 • Perform and maintain IV starts as a core clinical skill • Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR • Adhere to unit attendance expectations — no more than 2–3 call-offs per contract period Required Qualifications • Active WV RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission) • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required • BLS and ACLS certifications required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA) • NIHSS certification required • Proficiency with IV starts required • Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis Preferred Experience / Skills • Oncology nursing experience • ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification • Familiarity with Cerner EMR modules Why Join Us • Extension opportunities available beyond the initial 13-week contract, with the facility open to flexible contract lengths • Work within a structured, supportive Medical Surgical environment with clear expectations set from day one
