Job Title RN - Emergency Room Location Rowlett, TX | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Full-Time | Permanent | Rotating Shifts | Onsite — Evening shifts vary (9am–9pm, 12pm–12am, 1pm–1am); 6 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle Key Responsibilities • Oversee patient care across a pediatric, adult, and geriatric population in a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department environment (averaging approximately 100 patients per day) • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify health issues, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment • Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5 across a 20-bed unit operating as a Level 3 trauma center, chest pain accredited center, and stroke receiving center • Coordinate and secure safe patient transport as needed • Delegate tasks appropriately based on patient condition and team competencies in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act • Proactively identify and address patient needs to prevent complications and promote positive outcomes Required Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited nursing program • Active RN License (Texas or compact eligibility) • Minimum of 2 years of recent, true Emergency Department RN experience • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; must obtain within 30 days of hire if not currently held • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required; must obtain within 18 months of hire if not currently held • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) required; must obtain within 18 months of hire if not currently held Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience in a Level 3 trauma center or similarly high-acuity emergency environment • Familiarity with high EMS volume settings (20–30 ambulance arrivals per day) • Experience caring for a broad patient population including pediatric and geriatric patients Why Join Us • Join a dynamic Emergency Department team within a recognized trauma, chest pain, and stroke receiving center • Opportunity to grow clinically in a high-volume, fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population
