What You'll Do As an ER RN you will triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages across the full acuity spectrum — from minor injuries to critically ill presentations, manage multiple cases simultaneously while prioritizing patient needs based on acuity levels, maintain composure and professionalism under pressure at all times, collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate effective follow-up care and necessary referrals, document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in accordance with organizational policy, and coordinate seamlessly with physicians and other hospital departments while remaining patient-focused and safety-aware every moment of every shift.
